Module aim
Crowded and resource-constrained settings require nurses to identify time-critical illness before less urgent complaints. Inconsistent triage, delayed first aid and weak communication can cause preventable deterioration while patients wait.
What you will be able to do
- By the end of the module, the learner will be able to conduct a rapid safety and acuity assessment.
- By the end of the module, the learner will be able to assign urgency using an approved local triage process.
- By the end of the module, the learner will be able to initiate immediate stabilisation within nursing scope.
- By the end of the module, the learner will be able to organise reassessment and flow according to clinical risk.
- By the end of the module, the learner will be able to communicate and document emergency decisions safely.
